While January is known on average as being one of winter's most brutal months in the Northern Hemisphere, truthfully Northerners know it's really just the beginning. And though some may consider ginger beer to be more of a go-to for their summertime sips, we're here to tell you that no matter the season nor the weather it brings, nothing beats a Barritt's cocktail. Whether you're just getting home from a bitterly cold afterwork commute or have just come indoors from shoveling snow, these toasty toddies are sure to warm your soul and fill your heart with happiness all day, every day.

Ginger Hot Toddy via Robust Recipes

Ingredients:

1 oz. Jim Beam Original Bourbon Whiskey

1 tbsp. Honey

12 oz. Barritt's Ginger Beer 

Lemon wedges

Directions: 

In a microwave-safe glass, combine Jim Beam Whiskey with the honey and heat in the microwave until slightly warmed. Stir until honey is completely dissolved. Add in Barritt's Ginger Beer and stir to combine. Microwave until warm before squeezing one lemon wedge into the drink. Garnish with a lemon wedge.

Winter Tea Rum Punch via Sugar Salted

Ingredients:

1 c. Water

3 Wintery teabags such as cinnamon or baked apple

1 c. Fresh orange juice

1 1/4 c. Barritt's Ginger Beer

1 c. Dark rum

1/2 c. Honey

Orange twists

Sugar swizzle sticks

Directions: 

Bring water to a boil on stove. Remove from heat and let tea bags brew for five minutes. Discard the bags. Combine orange juice, Barritt's Ginger Beer, rum and honey in a separate saucepan. Stir in hot tea. Bring to a boil before lowering to medium heat and letting simmer for five minutes. Remove from heat and pour into serving glasses. Garnish with an orange twist and swizzle stick.

Hot Ginger Punch via Metro

Ingredients:

5 oz. Bacardi Oakheart Spiced Rum

27 oz. Barritt's Ginger Beer

15 to 20 Cloves

6 to 10 Star Anise

1 Vanilla pod

Orange twists

Directions: 

Gently heat Bacardi Oakheart Spiced Rum and Barritt's Ginger Beer on the stove for five to ten minutes. Do not bring to a boil. Slice the vanilla pod from top to bottom and add to the pot along with cloves and star anise, keeping the heat on low. Add a few orange twists and gently stir. Ladle into glasses and garnish with remaining spices or twists.
