With the fall season officially underway, people everywhere are on the hunt for the latest and greatest in all things pumpkin spice. What started out as just another latte flavor has exploded in popularity across the globe and transformed fall into what many prefer to call pumpkin spice season instead. Call us bandwagon fans if you must, but we couldn’t help but follow this flavor craze and share a few of our favorite ginger beer cocktails featuring pumpkin spice, as well. Celebrate the return of pumpkin spice season yet again with these tried and true cocktail recipes.
Ginger Pumpkin Beer Shandy via Feast and West
Ingredients:
4 to 6 oz. Pumpkin ale
2 to 4 oz. Barritt’s Ginger Beer
1/4 c. Sugar
1 tbsp. Cinnamon
Lemon wedge
Directions:
Combine sugar and cinnamon in a bowl before transferring to a plate. Wet rim of a glass with the lemon wedge and roll it in the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat. Fill the glass halfway with pumpkin ale and top with Barritt’s Ginger Beer.
Pumpkin and Apple Cider Fizz via Kitchen Konfidence
Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz. Pumpkin puree
1 1/2 oz. Vanilla vodka
2 oz. Apple cider
1 1/2 oz. Barritt's Ginger Beer
Directions:
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice before adding pumpkin puree, vanilla vodka and apple cider. Shake vigorously and strain into an ice-filled glass. Top with Barritt’s Ginger Beer.
Spiced Pumpkin Punch via Domesticate Me
Ingredients:
1 oz. Pumpkin puree
1 tsp. Honey
1 oz. Lemon juice
2 oz. Bourbon
1/8 tsp. Grated ginger
1/8 tsp. Cinnamon
3 oz. Barritt’s Ginger Beer
1 Cinnamon stick
Sage leaves
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker aside from Barritt’s Ginger Beer. Strain into an ice-filled glass and top with Barritt’s Ginger Beer. Garnish with a cinnamon stick, sage leaves and a dash of cinnamon.
