No Leftovers Left Behind

When it comes to the holiday season, perhaps one of the most beloved parts is the delectable desserts that are sure to be integrated into every celebration. From apple pie to pecan tarts, we all have our favorites that the holiday just wouldn't be complete without. We're sharing a few of our go-to dessert recipes that pair perfectly with a ginger beer cocktail and are guaranteed to get gobbled up at your next gathering.

Apple Pie Cookies via Two Sisters Crafting

Cookie Dough Ingredients:

1 cup Butter

1 cup Granulated sugar

1/2 cup Brown sugar

2 Eggs

1 tsp. Vanilla

3 cups All-Purpose flour

2 1/4 tsp. Cinnamon

1 tsp. Baking powder

1 tsp. Baking soda

1/2 tsp. Salt

1 cup Tart apples

Frosting Ingredients:

1/2 cup Butter

8 oz. Cream cheese

3 tsp. Vanilla

4 cups Powdered sugar

1 tsp. Cinnamon

Cookie Dough Directions: 

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Peel and finely dice apples. In a large bowl combine butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla before mixing in the cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix in half of the flour before folding apples into the dough. Add the remaining flour and combine. Bake for 13 to 15 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown. 

Frosting Directions: 

Beat cream cheese, butter and vanilla until blended. Add powdered sugar one cup at a time until it is incorporated. Frost the cookies and dust with additional cinnamon.

Perfect Pumpkin Pie via Pillsbury

Ingredients:

1 Pillsbury refrigerated pie crust

2 Eggs

3/4 cup Sugar

1 1/2 tsp. Pumpkin pie spice

1/2 tsp. Salt

15 oz. Pumpkin

12 oz. Evaporated milk

Directions: 

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Place pie crust in a 9 inch glass pie pan. Beat eggs with wire whisk and stir in remaining ingredients until blended. Pour into crust and bake for 15 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees and bake for 40 to 50 minutes longer or until knife inserted near center comes out clean.

Harvest Caramel Corn via Two Sisters Crafting

Ingredients:

10 cups Popped popcorn

Salt

1 cup Butter

1 cup Light brown sugar

2 tsp. Vanilla

1/2 tsp. Baking soda

Mini Rolos

M&M's

Directions: 

Remove any un-popped kernels from popcorn. Melt butter on stove over medium heat before adding brown sugar. Stir until combined and bring to a boil. Once it reaches a boil, cook for five minutes without stirring. Add vanilla before the four minute mark. After boiling for five minutes, add baking soda and drizzle three-quarters of caramel mixture over popcorn. Gently fold the mixture until covered. Pour onto an aluminum foil covered baking sheet and drizzle remaining caramel mixture overtop. Immediately add the Rolos and M&M's on top.
