Tequila Temptations: Celebrating National Tequila Day

With Ginger Beer Margaritas, Mexican Mules and Tequila Sunrise Sangria on the menu, we're counting down the days until July 24th when National Tequila Day is officially upon us. Get ready to fiesta, siesta, tequila, repeat all day long with these handcrafted cocktails featuring tequila paired with our favorite mixer, Barritt's Ginger Beer, of course!

Ginger Beer Margaritas via Jose Cuervo

Ingredients:

1 1/2 parts Jose Cuervo Tradicional Silver

1/2 part simple syrup

3 parts Barritt's Ginger Beer

1 part fresh lime juice

Coarse salt

Directions:

Line glass with fresh lime juice and dip rim into coarse salt. Mix Jose Cuervo Tradicional Silver, simple syrup, Barritt's Ginger Beer and lime juice into a large glass with ice. Stir vigorously before transferring to serving glass. Garnish with a lime wedge if desired.  

The Barritt's Mexican Mule

Ingredients:

2 oz tequila

1 oz lime juice

4 oz Barritt’s Ginger Beer

1 jalapeño

Directions:

Pour ingredients into copper mug. Garnish with lime and jalapeño.

Tequila Sunrise Sangria via Food Network

Ingredients:

1 orange

1 lime

3 cups pink Prosecco

2 cups Barritt's Ginger Beer

1 cup tequila

1 Bosc pear, cut into 1/2 inch pieces

1/2 pint raspberries

Directions:

Slice half the orange into half moons and squeeze remaining half into a large, ice filled pitcher. Repeat with lime. Add Prosecco, Barritt's Ginger Beer and tequila to pitcher. Stir to combine. Top with fruit and serve.
