Whether it’s winter, spring, summer or fall, there’s no better feeling than packing up the car and disconnecting for the weekend with an outdoor escape. When we think of a weekend getaway our mind instantly wanders to thoughts of cozying up around the fire while surrounded by family and friends with a Barritt’s cocktail in hand, of course. Find the recipe for a successful weekend away with some of our favorite log cabin cocktails below.

Apple Cinnamon Hot Toddy via Rachel Phipps

Ingredients:

2 1/2 oz. Apple Juice

2 1/2 oz. Barritt’s Ginger Beer

1 3/4 oz. Boiling Water

1 oz. Brandy

1 oz. Cinnamon Vodka

2 Cloves

Cinnamon sticks

Directions:

Combine apple juice, Barritt’s Ginger Beer and boiling water in a saucepan. Add the cloves and 1/4 of a crushed cinnamon stick, bringing to a boil over medium heat. Reduce to low and simmer for five minutes. Add the brandy and cinnamon vodka before heating through without boiling the mixture. Strain the mixture into a glass and garnish with a cinnamon stick.

Fig Moscow Mule via Crowded Kitchen

Ingredients:

2 oz. Fig infused vodka

6 oz. Barritt’s Ginger Beer

1/2 oz. Cinnamon simple syrup

1/2 oz. Lime juice

Fig Infused Vodka Directions:

Put fifteen halved figs into a mason jar and add one cinnamon stick and one star anise. Top with pear vodka, shake well and infuse for two to three days, shaking the jar twice a day. Strain the mixture into a clean jar.

Cinnamon Simple Syrup Directions:

Heat 1/2 a cup of sugar and 1/2 a cup of water in a saucepan over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Add two cinnamon sticks and bring to a simmer. Simmer for one minute, remove from heat and let sit for 30 minutes. Remove cinnamon stick.

Cocktail Directions:

Combine 2 oz. of fig infused vodka, 6 oz. Barritt’s Ginger Beer, 1/2 oz. cinnamon simple syrup and 1/2 oz. lime juice in a copper mug. Garnish with halved figs and thyme.

Dandy Shandy via Better Homes & Gardens

Ingredients:

4 oz. Dark stout

4 oz. Barritt’s Ginger Beer

Directions:

Combine dark stout and Barritt’s Ginger Beer in an ice-filled beer glass.
